Our Mission

The Handyman Services initiative is part of The Mended Network's broader mission to create healthier home environments for families. We address deep-rooted issues such as generational poverty, systemic racism, and trauma by fostering healthy relationships and community engagement. Our goal is to rebuild and revitalize homes, ensuring they are safe and conducive to well-being.

What We Do

Our services range from minor repairs to significant home improvements. Volunteers from both Disciple 4 Life Ministries and The Mended Network work together to provide:

• Roof Repairs: Fixing leaks, replacing shingles, and ensuring the roof is secure.

• Structural Repairs: Addressing foundational issues and other structural concerns.

• Safety Modifications: Installing ramps, grab bars, and other safety features for elderly and disabled residents.

• General Maintenance: Painting, yard work, and other upkeep tasks to maintain a healthy living environment.

 

How We Do It

Each project starts with a thorough assessment of the home's needs. Our teams of skilled volunteers and professional contractors then develop a plan to address these needs efficiently and effectively. We source materials through donations and partnerships, ensuring that our work is sustainable and impactful.
